It was a beautiful spring morning, my husband was cooking us bacon and eggs for breakfast,
I was sitting at the kitchen table, bird watching...lol. We live about 20 miles from Oklahoma City in a small town.
Parents had just dropped their children off at the day care center in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in
downtown Oklahoma City. The employees had just sat down at their desks to begin their workday.
All of a sudden our house shook, I ran outside to see if someone's propane tank had exploded.
Not being able to find out what had happened, I went back into the house.
My husband and I were talking about what might of made the house shake,
when it came on the television......it was astounding and I couldn't believe it. My heart just dropped.

A bomb inside a Ryder Moving Truck had exploded outside of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building,
the blast obliterated half of the nine-story building, killing 168 people, many of them children.
That one day effected a lot of lives, not just the families of the victims.

Everyone who died in this tragedy was someone. Maybe they were a mother, a father, a wife, a husband, a son, a daughter, a co-worker, or a friend. They all had a story and a life that was cut short, don't just look at the names, think of them as real people because that is just what they are.
